The water is quite shallow here as there is a sand bar which makes it very safe for children and the clean blue sea is ideal for swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving (courses available in Karaburun), fishing and wind surfing. This is an unspoilt landscape with beautiful and rugged scenery, flora and fauna (including foxes, badgers, wild boar and eagles). There is also a tiny harbour if you have your own boat.
The property has superb views over the bay and Gulf of Izmir and covers two floors. The special feature is that it can be used as separate apartments with the obvious option to stay in one and rent out the other during the summer season.
Locally there are only a handful of other properties nearby and as an owner you will be welcomed into this community on your own private beach.
The Villa has its entrance at the rear and leads straight to the first floor from the large veranda. On this floor there are 2 bedrooms, a spacious lounge, bathroom, fitted kitchen and large balcony.
For the lower apartment there is a separate entrance and the rooms are the same size and layout but with a larger balcony and the extensive garden.
Additionally there is a basement which has been used as wine cellar but could house garden furniture if required.
Travel time to the airport is about 1½ hours and the roads are very well maintained. Nearby are little fishing villages with cafés offering a warm welcome and the mountains offer exciting and challenging walks (there is a trekking centre at Karaburun about 15 minutes drive away). Whilst having your own or a hire car is an advantage the local buses pass by on the main road every ½ hour in summer and can take you to Izmir if you wish. The water and air here is unpolluted and the smell of herbs in the oxygen rich air is invigorating. In the heat of midsummer there is a regular cooling breeze each afternoon which is most welcome. Sitting in the garden or on the veranda looking over the ocean as the sun sets is probably the most relaxing and enjoyable time of day.
If you are looking for an out of the way place which is totally unspoilt and attractive yet ideally positioned for exploring the peninsula then this is hard to beat.
