Internally the large living room has a centrepiece brick fireplace with open fire. Mordogan is a vibrant fishing village and which is swelled in summer by European visitors who have holiday homes here. The villa is just two minutes from the harbour, town beach, restaurants, cafes and other shops. There are English speaking chemists and local doctors with a large hospital in Karaburun further along the coastal road. There is a regular weekly market with fresh organic produce and everything for the kitchen and home. Nearby there is a new yacht marina and the family friendly Blue Flag Duma Beach, perfect for a day out, is a comfortable walk.
The peninsula resembles a separate island with a central upland region and coastal strip which narrows towards Karaburun. There are little fishing villages, highland valleys and the remains of ancient Greek villages in the mountains. The vegetation is always green due to the many springs and the smell of herbs enhances the oxygen rich air. Animal life includes eagles, foxes and wild boar which can often be seen along the coastal road on quiet summer evenings. On the shores of the Gulf of Izmir the water is clear and fishing, swimming and other water sports are popular. Mass tourism has not encroached on this part of the Aegean (there are no package tours) although the area is popular with German, French and Turkish visitors. As a result property prices are generally lower than the more popular Mediterranean hot spots so investment as well as value for money are good reasons to buy here. | Price £110,000 GBP | For further information please fill in the form below.
