We have found the locals to be most friendly to foreigners and you can be assured of a warm welcome if you decide to live here. The town of Karaburun, with all amenities including shops, bank, post office and weekly market is nearby and in the evening taxis are readily available so a night out or restaurant visit is easily arranged.
Regarding the property it is a true bungalow with a large veranda for relaxing or dining which offers cooling shade in the summertime. There is off road parking in the grounds and a pleasant garden. Internally, there are 2 bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen and bathroom which are newly decorated.
The weather in this area is not too cold even in winter and in summer there is a cooling onshore breeze which makes daily living, and sleeping, more comfortable than in the Mediterranean resorts.
There are four good beaches close by and in the Iskele area there is a marina project with good restaurants and bars to be completed.
Karaburun and the surrounding area are famous for the clean sea and oxygen rich air making it a healthy place to live. For active people there are many pursuits available including trekking (with organised walks into the mountains), swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, wind surfing and fishing both from the shore and by boat.
For the less energetic visitors eating and socialising over a cold beer or bottle of local wine whilst watching the world go by is a popular activity in the summer.
